Member Enrollment/Renewal

Membership in KPCA is only $20 per year and a single paid Membership covers all adults in your Kings Park household. KPCA begins collecting dues for the year on January 1. KPCA publishes a paperback Member Directory and distributes one copy to Kings Park households in September. If you wish to have additional directories delivered to your household, please specify the quantity in a separate note. The cost for extra directories is $4 per additional directory. You are also more than welcome to include a supplemental donation to KPCA of any amount that you choose.

Instructions for enrolling by mail

Print and fill out the Membership Form
Write a check to KPCA for the desired amount. $20 + $4 per extra directory. Feel free to add a donation.
If you check is for more than $20 add a note explaining what the extra is for.
Mail form and check to KPCA. Make check payable to KPCA and mail to the address below.

Why Join Kings Park Civic Association?

Why should I pay annual membership dues to be a Member of the Kings Park Civic Association? That’s a good question; and one with good answers. The association, made up entirely of Kings Park residents volunteering their time, uses your money to beautify the community, to help keep it safe, and to serve as intermediary when traffic issues arise among other things.

The grass gets cut at the entrances to our community as well as in the median and traffic circle on Kings Park Drive
The nubs (those plots of dirt along the curbs on Southampton Drive) are planted with flowers
The message signs at the community entrances are maintained and updated
The neighborhood watch program patrols our streets, day and night, up to the level permitted by volunteers’ availability
The annual 4th of July children’s parade through the neighborhood is organized
Hot dogs and snacks are provided following the parade at the party in Kings Park Park, where the Kings Park Band entertains
The annual Christmas Party at Kings Park elementary school is organized with cake and gifts provided for the children
The annual community yard sale is organized and advertised
The annual senior luncheon is organized
Bimonthly issues of the Kings Park Gazette are compiled and delivered
The Kings Park Directory is compiled and delivered
The Kings Park website, www.kings-park.org, is maintained
Spring cleanup/fixup day, where large items/appliances can be trashed for free, is planned and advertised
KPCA coordinates with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) as well as with County officials, as needed, when traffic issues arise
A panel of KPCA board members judges neighborhood homes with the best Christmas decorations

It’s no accident that Kings Park is a great place to live. Our community is well situated being close to the Beltway and to major thoroughfares like Braddock Road, Old Keene Mill Road, and the Fairfax County Parkway. Kings Park has its own shopping center with four others within about 2 miles, its own library, and an office park with many medical offices. Kings Park is also a physically beautiful community as we have a wide variety of large trees and many homeowners that take pride in their properties. We have families that were original (1962) residents but also many young families with small children so the generational mix is really great. Kings Park has its own elementary school plus close by middle (Kings Glen) and high (Lake Braddock) schools. We have a community park and a swimming pool that residents may join.

We also have an active civic association made up of motivated neighbors of yours. However, to accomplish the items listed above we need more homeowners to participate in the civic association. That includes the modest annual membership payment. We also would welcome anyone wishing to volunteer to help with any of our projects and activities.
