Earn Community Service Hours in Your Own Neighborhood!

If you’re in middle school or high school and looking for a way to earn volunteer service hours for school, why not start right here in Kings Park? You can join the Kings Park Youth Community Service committee and immediately have a positive impact on your resume, not to mention fulfilling community service requirements for the various classes and programs at Lake Braddock. Our roster has been steadily growing over the last few years, and the more volunteers we have, the more we can help improve our community.

Some of the activities we’re planning include:

  • leaf raking
  • volunteering at the children's holiday party on December 3 (help with arts & crafts stations, kids activities, preparation, and cleanup)
  • volunteering at the community potluck dinner on March 19
  • weeding and planting flowers at the entrance sign areas (one weekend day in the spring)
  • helping with Kings Park Cleanup Day (one weekend day usually on a Saturday in May)

  • Also, the committee is open to teens who live outside the neighborhood. If you and a friend want to join together, we’d love to have you!
